New Head of Odessa Regional Branch of the Ukrainian public organization Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA)

Arthur Nitsevych was appointed as the Head of Odessa Regional Branch of the Ukrainian Bar Association for 2010

On 30 November 2009 a new Head of Odessa Regional Branch was appointed at the session of the general meeting of the Ukrainian public organization Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA).

The resolution was approved by the Board of the Ukrainian Bar Association on the 30th November 2009.

Arthur Nitsevych is a managing partner of the law firm International Law Offices specialized at corporate, maritime and transport law, legal service of investment projects. Following the Ukrainian rating of the programme “50 Leading Law Firms of Ukraine” made by the newspaper “Yuridicheskaya praktika” “International Law Offices” has been constantly in the number of the leading law firms since 1998.

Arthur Nitsevych is an Attorney-at-Law of Kyiv Bar Association and member of IBA, supporting member of LMAA, member of the committee in the Nautical Institute of Ukraine, member of the expert committee of Odessa City Council on Strategic Development of the City. Arthur Nitsevych is an expert of the European Commission on legal and organizational issues of TRACECA project. According to the nomination of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Arthur Nitsevych repeatedly was a member of maritime experts on projects related to market, ecological, technical due diligence and was awarded with an "ambassador" title.

He is an author of more than 70 articles published in a number of foreign, international and domestic editions (such as World Cargo News, Lloyd’s List, Maritime Risk International, Yuridicheskaya gazeta, Yuridicheskaya praktika, Generalniy director, Ports of Ukraine, Transport, etc.)

He takes an active part in drafting the normative documents and government programmes. Arthur Nitsevych is the main author of the Review of the Economic Law of Ukraine for the Digest of Commercial Laws of the World published by Oceana Publications (USA).

Specialization: maritime and transport law, international arbitration, investment projects, transactions and deals, international audit, M&A, Due diligence

Education: Graduated from the Odessa State University as a philologist (Department of Romance-German philology), Odessa State Legal Academy, Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (department of audit and accounting).
Fluent in English and Spanish.

‘Loans Received from Non-Residents’ was the name of the seminar held in the premises of the Southern Commercial Regional Department of the PJSC ‘UniCreditBank’ on the 8th of December 2011. The seminar was organized under the initiative of ‘Interlegal’ together with ‘UniCreditBank’. It was free being addressed to the top managers and owners of the business.

The President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovich, vetoed the Law ‘On Sea Ports of Ukraine’ adopted by the Verkhovna Rada and sent the bill back to the parliament with his propositions. The President notes that the legal collision will appear in case of signing the law as the provisions of the document on the port water basin will contradict the provisions of the Water Code of Ukraine. In particular, the draft provides that the water basin of a sea port is defined as a part of the water object outside the navigation pass to be granted to the port under the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers. But a separate decision on allotment of the water fund land is not taken.
