Nikolay Melnykov has been selected as being among the world’s pre-eminent Shipping & Maritime lawyers of 2010 by the results of the annual independent research of Who’s Who Legal. The International Who’s Who of Shipping & Maritime Lawyers 2010 congratulates Nikolay Melnykov and invites him to contribute to the 2010 edition by publishing his professional biography. The International Who’s Who of Shipping & Maritime Lawyers 2010 will be published in August 2010. The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers 2011 has been already in the process of formation.

«Climate Change – When Kyoto Protocol will be substituted” is an article by Taras Shepel, Senior Lawyer, published in “Pravotoday” on 15 July 2010.
Autor says: “Kyoto Protocol is a document amending the United National Frame Work Convention on Climate Change that is binding for 181 countries. The member countries are obliged to reduce or regulate greenhouse gas emissions in particular volumes. The Protocol is valid till 31 December 2012 following which a similar agreement was supposed to conclude…”

“Forwarding significance in transportation is constantly increasing, in particular, as the result of international carriage containerization. According to the latest researches 4/5 of all carriages with general and containerized cargoes in foreign economic turnover are performed not by owners of the cargo, but by the forwarders and other carrier agents…”

‘…Pursuant to the legislation of some countries and requirements of the Shipping Registers the yacht can be registered in the Shipping Register as a pleasure or commercial yacht.
